Wine by the Vines: Lombardy – an Asheville Wine Dinner Series

The October 16th dinner focuses on the northern Lombardy region, home to Renaissance villages as well as Milan, Italy’s capital of fashion and a testament to centuries of art and culture. Here, saffron-infused risottos and creamy, buttery polenta, cured salamis like bresaola, Grana Padano and Taleggio cheeses, and olive oil are all staples in Lombardy and Milanese gastronomy. The wines here include luscious reds, structured whites, and exceptional sparkling varieties.
