A type of twisty pasta whose name is derived from the Italian word for “twins”
You could say Gemelli’s origin story comes down to a fortuitous twist of fate: man and woman meet, fall in love, marry, and become pregnant with—to their great gobsmacked surprise— twins! Gemelli may exist thanks to Founder and Chef Anthony Cerrato’s Italian heritage, his devotion to Italia’s culinary traditions, and his decades of experience owning and operating several of Asheville’s most beloved Italian restaurants, but it’s these two little darlings, as well as his son — Gemelli’s Executive Chef de Cuisine Gabe Cerrato — that inspired his latest venture.
Gemelli brings an all-day casual Italian dining experience to West Asheville, at 70 Westgate Parkway, next to EarthFare. Customers can expect authentic Italian food and scratch-made pastas, ravioli, and sauces served in a stylish, inviting setting that was created for social gathering. Our pastas are always made fresh in-house, and we cater to gluten, dairy, and other dietary sensitivities. We also offer craft cocktails and a curated selection of Italian wines.
